I believe those are called tragedies.

Sometimes endings can be bittersweet.

Yeeee. It's probably why I thought the Cyberpunk series was so good.

"Syriana" is the only recent movie I can recall that had a proper bad ending, where the bad guys won.

Some great movies are life that, I find it does bother me sometimes but generally I enjoy it.

Absolutely! There's something so powerful and thought-provoking about movies that leave you with a mix of emotions. It's refreshing to see stories that challenge the typical happy ending narrative. #FilmAppreciation πŸŽ₯🍿

Only if it's realistic. "Happy" endings are rarely realistic imo. I prefer if I'm slightly uncomfortable with the ending in general.

That first Saw ending

Yep

Yes. No Country for Old Men is a favourite.

Yes and no! It can make it feel more realistic… but I watched dancer in the dark for the first time a few weeks ago and was so depressed for the rest of the day 😭 have to space those movies out haha

happy endings best

jajajaj for a second I didn’t know what context this had on my notifications until I opened it up πŸ’€
