there hasn't been a new commit except for my arch docker in weeks.

How are you using it?

If you've compiled the binary then just clone the git repository, re-compile from the updated code, replace the existing binary and restart it.

There's a process you could follow for "zero downtime restarts" but it's really not worth the bother if you have a small relay.

I can't find the recompiled binary.

My relay is quite big actually. Even you use it nostr.donky.social

I haven't been using it but my notes can appear on it if either you use it and interact with me, or if you've got it syncing with a larger relay that I use.

It makes sense, if you react to a note or reply to it, your client sends that even to your relay, so your relay also pulls the original note you're interacting with.
