Everyone wants rules.

This is why so many people blindly followed what the authorities said, even if it didn't make any sense. There's comfort in having rules. Comfort in thinking you are being told the truth.

Trust was what was abused and until people recognize their own exploitation, they won't wake up to the lies they've been told.

COVID has made me much less hopeful for the roughly half of the population that just gave in. These are all rule-followers that want order, even at the cost of reality distortion.

On the other hand, for the other half of the population that didn't give in, there is a lot of hope. These are people that I think are destined to adopt Bitcoin.

Unfortunately, too many easily give up their rights for short terms conveniences. Complying to the rules during COVID gave some respite (ie benefits). The amount of people that fell for that honey trap was revealing.

However, it also revealed who was paying attention. These people give us hope.

The silver lining is knowing where everyone stands now.

It’s probably the 80-20 rule, the vast majority of people. They are essentially adult-aged children who are dependent on a “parent” government to take care of them, tell them what to do.

I think the majority defended the lockdowns and willingly injected their children with experimental gene therapy because they were told to do it.

I’m mindful that these people are also capable of supporting violence if they feel that the system, upon which they’re dependent, is threatened.

Which is what bitcoin does. It threatens their system.

Yep, it shows you how many children are already owned by the State!

And yes, astounded by the amount of "leaders" (inc faith leaders) who happily go to bed with the State and turn a blind eye to the fact that fiat money needs war. The handouts they get function like bribe money. Much of it is done in secret and it changes outcomes. All the while, they try and create a vibe of legitimacy.

Incentives are broken. So are morals.

Makes me sick. I hate the lies, dishonesty, corruption, lame excuses, gaslighting and endless mind games.

Yep, it was interesting to hear RFK jr talk about how the US govt murdered his uncle JFK one month after JFK started to withdraw the troops from Vietnam. The VP Johnson was apparently in on it and guess who becomes President and continues the war… Johnson.

Seems to be hard wired into the DNA of most people around the world according to the Milgram experiment.

Which might not be such a big problem with the right incentives that could come from a society under a #Bitcoin standard.

I agree, however there is a difference between authority-following and rule-following.

in the anarchy that inevitably comes with the bitcoin standard, there will still be rules.

but they will be voluntarily and mutually written in contracts between individuals/ businesses

VS being decided by the violent monopolist (gov)

I mean I want my business partners to follow the rules we set together in contracts, nothing sheepy about that:)
