I think because of how easy it is to scale, they have even less chance than they did with bitcoin. It's such a powerful idea.

I agree with you there, but it doesn’t mean they won’t try. The cheapest shot being leaning on app stores to ban Nostr clients, highly unlikely but definitely probable.

Yeah I definitely agree that using their existing walled gardens will be the first step. No doubt. That's why Google is looking down android even further IMO.
