Two things: 1) In general, it's fair to assume that smaller tokens have a larger anonymity set and 2) if you select the coins and send them directly without splitting them to the correct amount with the server, you have better privacy since you don't communicate with the mint when you're sending (this can also be done if the user agrees to slightly overpay for the sake of better privacy).
