If people are accepting it en mass, then you are fucked
I (through previous work) know a ton of people in the UK and they are ALL (even normies) using a VPN to avoid the checks. Very few people are accepting it and I think it will be a huge deal over the coming weeks/months.
The good/bad news is that nostr.build is technically not required to sensor, therefore that falls on the relay operators and clients. The bad news, nostr will not signal to the people to protest that shit
