Sometimes I admire some specific thing they did well - or some answer to a problem they used.

Occasionally there’s a reaction to others’ work mostly it’s a note to avoid . In a couple of cases it’s really influenced my work by forcing myself to come up with a different solution than theirs even though I think they had an innovative approach or technique.
