Hopefully #Nostriches will give better answers than “get a HAM radio license” (nanny statist #AUStriches will still seek permission from the State even in global chaos) or “supermarkets will need manual registers with checkout chicks”.

Also interested in opinions of how long a major internet outage could/would realistically last? Respondents on Xitter seem to think we would lose all knowledge overnight and be unable to recover at all so of course it’s going full Mad Max in their minds..

Personally I don’t see a “whole internet” scenario outside a black swan solar event / asteroid, but whole countries could possibly go down or be severely degraded with a combo of infrastructure attacks and hacks.
