hmm ok, if thats how you see it then I understand how you would feel. Let me offer you a slightly different perspective.
The way an exchange works is that they are not actually buying and selling and moving around the coins that they list. They are just keeping a ledger of your activities and squaring you up in whatever currency you like. I check in from sats via an atomic swap and Icheck back out to sats. I never ever own what i trade and neither does the exchange. 90% of the value on a DEX on any given day is institutional money. They are fighting over the 10% of us little folk's sats that wander into their trap.
So i walk willingly and knowingly into their trap. I take some cheese and I go home. My presence has emboldened no one nor has it induced them to own any shitcoins. I tell people all the time not to trade the same way i tell them not to lotto and not to shitcoin. My friends and fam know better now but that took time and i had to teach and preach. The market is a labrynthian trap made to ensnare and enslave us small folk.
It is not a random may the best man win sorta deal like ppl think. Its server farms running algorithms and manipulating prices to take out ppls positions that the manipulators provided the leverage on so that they can liquidate the plebs.
The market is a dirty and disgusting cesspool dressed in fine marble and chandeliers. Its purpose is to consume us.
So if I willingly walk into their trap, knowing it is a trap and I walk out with my dinner it is objectionable because others walk into the trap who didnt know or wouldnt admit that the whole thing is rigged?
I need food. The dragon has the food. Imma go take some from the dragon. that is my perspective. I would appreciate your thoughts.
