Nostr clients should think of doing something like this for popular hash tags and filtered by degree of account blocking so there is a default feed for people that is topic oriented & isn't just the pure madness of the global feed.

Would only work if everyone used all the key words as hashtags, no?
You could group different hashtags under keywords, plus have it include notes with certain keywords used.

So the relay operator would have to filter notes for a particular keyword or subset of keywords and overall relays become more niche?!
I think thatโs the natural flow of things. You donโt need 50 different overall relays as we do now. In the future I expect that we can select whichever relay(s) you want to post your note on

We can already choose which relays we write and read from. That being said it should be automated, by relay operators only broadcasting notes that pertain to their niche. Right?!

I think you then run into the siloed, not decentralized issue. If I recall a post you made while back about removing Damus relay and not being able to see a bunch of people's posts was my inspiration to build nostr:npub16fcy8ynknssdv7s487nh4p2h4vr3aun64lpfea45d7h4sts9jheqevshgh since Damus relay is one server (literally).
Yeah, I mostly see Chinese in my global feedโฆ
In addition we could have this with languages also.
The next step after adding keywords to your profile could be recommending public lists that have already been made and also themed relays ๐
