Nostr clients need a way to tag people in photos without tagging them in the note text.

Shouldn't be hard actually. More an UI thing.
Is there a NIP for this, does there need to be? This is some basic stuff that every social media app has had forever.
I don't think, but adding tags to a note is already possible (without it being in content). Maybe if you want to precisely place the tag, like on Instagram, that would need to be documented somewhere.

I don’t see how it could be stopped, but my first thought is that some people get very, very upset when their image is posted anywhere, even if they happen to bystander scenery in the background.
