In Spanish we use umlaut too
Penguin = Pingüino
Shame = Vergüenza

We all make mistakes at some point, it's normal... today it's your turn, tomorrow it's my turn
Not long ago I also didn't know that Spanish had an umlaut, but Portuguese no longer does.
It was used in the U in the same way, just not in exactly the same words.
But Portugal has not had it for over 50 years and Brazil removed it 16 years ago, in 2009.
