I find it impossible to have an opinion. How can I? I have not spent a day in either’s shoes. I know what I am capable of. Of what all humans are capable of and to say I would choose different fails to acknowledge what drives a person to hatred and to commit acts of violence. I think of the children and the trauma. There is no post traumatic stress, because there is no post. There is just trauma. It will take generations for these children to heal, but they will.
