Random conversation, but yes, England has a long and rich culture 😂

Eric Arthur Blair led an interesting life.

I just had to share with the first Brits I could think of. Carry on, and sorry to intrude.

Looked it up to discover Orwell was a pen name. I'm learning so much about your country today.

Cheerio

HG Wells was born very close to where I lived growing up in Bromley and Charles Darwin lived next to where I worked in Biggin Hill, in a place called Downe.

Also David Bowey lived a few streets away and his mum used to shop in my best friends, mums green grocer shop.

That's pretty cool.

The section that really got me was "... he English are not gifted artistically. They are not as musical as the Germans or Italians, painting and sculpture have never flourished in England as they have in France. Another is that, as Europeans go, the English are not intellectual. They have a horror of abstract thought, they feel no need for any philosophy or systematic “world-view”. Nor is this because they are “practical”..."

We lived on a small Island and needed to conquer the world in order to get our daily cup of tea.

We are mostly bastards, which is what I'm thinking of becoming, professionally speaking 😂

It worked for Alistair Crowley.

Do you mean Aleister Crowley?

😱

I do. Should have looked up the spelling.

Your bad 😂

Closest thing I could find to a gif of Ozzie apologizing.

My gift to you for future misdemeanours 😂

it's fine, England can always just borrow people from Scotland and Ireland

We were too busy inventing everything that needed inventing, for about 200 years😜.
