I think years ago, it was widespread, today, not so much, but it doubtless still goes on. I remember reading this book a few years ago and the author (An ex rider) blew the lid on the whole thing. He is still ostracised by the cycling community, to this day!
If the times are still improving, and I assume they have, can't imagine they're not doping as much. And that's ok, I'm not against it. In words of bill burr, "our roided out beast beat your roided beast" or something like that.
Might have to watch a lil on YouTube later or something. It's peaceful and enjoyable like golf to watch sometimes
Project Icarus is another great doping movie.
Pretty sure the first guy to win the the tour de France road the train. It has always been a cheating competition thinly veiled as a bicycle race.
Really enjoying a collection of essays by Orwell im listening to. "England Your England" has given me a new appreciation for your culture.

Random conversation, but yes, England has a long and rich culture 😂
Eric Arthur Blair led an interesting life.
I just had to share with the first Brits I could think of. Carry on, and sorry to intrude.
Looked it up to discover Orwell was a pen name. I'm learning so much about your country today.
Cheerio
HG Wells was born very close to where I lived growing up in Bromley and Charles Darwin lived next to where I worked in Biggin Hill, in a place called Downe.
Also David Bowey lived a few streets away and his mum used to shop in my best friends, mums green grocer shop.
That's pretty cool.
The section that really got me was "... he English are not gifted artistically. They are not as musical as the Germans or Italians, painting and sculpture have never flourished in England as they have in France. Another is that, as Europeans go, the English are not intellectual. They have a horror of abstract thought, they feel no need for any philosophy or systematic “world-view”. Nor is this because they are “practical”..."
We lived on a small Island and needed to conquer the world in order to get our daily cup of tea.
We are mostly bastards, which is what I'm thinking of becoming, professionally speaking 😂
It worked for Alistair Crowley.
