I would only add that if needing to defecate happens to you *every time* you drink coffee then maybe see specialist, could be IBS or some other intestinal issue.

If you want this cat's advice consider changing your coffee intake schedule.

Wait at least one hour after waking up before drinking qny coffee, this allows your body time to 'boot up' and you probably will want to go defecate naturally during that hour. I do this so that it doescnot mess with your cortisol levels. If you drink coffee early in the morning it can really affect your cortisol for the whole day, at least for my body this is true.

added benefit - that first cup is a pleasure to drink (mouth orgasm for real), instead of it being the routine I used to have where "I need coffee to wake up"

Try it out, delay that first cup of the day
