If you've switched between different clients, it's possible that one had a bug. Since Nostr is still bleeding edge, it's a good practice to backup your profile regularly, and before playing with any new Nostr clients.

Thanks! I opened that, and thought 'Hey, that looks familiar' and as I downloaded the new backup, I confirmed I had an old backup(9/2023). Is there a way to extract my follows from there somehow?

When this happened to me, I brute-force added them back manually. 😜

That's what I did, but I think I had more than 4 I was following (not many more, but more).
