Straight into spaghetti sauce! πŸ˜‚

No!!

😈

I make a simple sauce that I really like. Roasted tomatoes, butter, salt, and half an onion (uncut). I slow cook it. Really easy and good.

That's a really basic red sauce. I make it myself a few times a year. Goes really well with some fresh pasta. Here's my recipe:

Ingredients

* 800g peeled plum tomatoes (San Marzano)

* 1 medium white onion, peeled and sliced in half

* 5 tablespoons of butter

* Salt to taste

Directions

* Put everything in a large stock pot.

* Bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium, and simmer for 45 minutes uncovered, stirring occasionally.

* Discard onion halves and serve with your choice of pasta.

It's amazing how much bullshit is in US food now. I'm just making a lot of stuff like that these days. I'm sure it's better in Japan. Can't be worse

The food definitely tastes better here but we have no such thing as organic produce. It’s not a thing - at least where I live. If you want anything organic you have to grow it yourself. We still have a lot of shitty food too, a lot of imported garbage that I try to avoid at all costs. I try to by locally produced stuff to keep them in business.

Ah. Reality vs fantasy I guess. Fiat reaches everywhere eventually.
