I’m not interested in the lesser of two evils approach, that’s not a solution.

Simply because it’s” better” than other platforms does NOT negate anything I said, Nostr will plateau unless they make it more user friendly to access.

Contrary to popular belief, you DO NOT own your data on here, the relays do and that’s not gonna work for the general public either.

It’s a good point about the relays, but still the freedom is there to have your own (even though it is exceedingly difficult for me). And let’s just not talk about privacy, because #nostr appears more public and more permanent to me than others. But, in the end, I do think that feature is a plus in terms of global accountability and thoughtful posting.

I also think the barrier to entry just ends up being a good filter for the fuck-alls who don’t have a lot to offer the system anyway.

I’m aware it’s complicated setting up a wallet and linking a profile.

I’m sure one app will take the lead, and make the process of onboarding as easy @primal did for me. I’ve found more reward on here than any other platform.

Right on. A good app for learning about bitcoin and all that it entails, is the nostr:npub1ve8qwrlztemdmnh62jffcr0y9m9dpqgqjdg8ufx7gc3qw5wdk74qyv9ka6.

This place is ok but it takes awhile to create the feed you’re looking for, OPA is about nothing but bitcoin so the information is a lot easier to parse.
