i've used chatgpt every day since launch, both personally & professionally. today, i asked it to analyze my personality.
it didn't just list my interests. it understood my priorities, thought process, problem-solving approach. it knows me better than most people.

it definitely does, i haven’t brought up drones this month. i was working on them a month ago, but it still remembers.
Makes me wonder what else is collected and how it's used...
anything you submit to an llm that you don’t host yourself is being stored. almost everything. even if they don’t have a dedicated database for it, they can just check the api logs & see your entire chat history.
i also run olama locally. i use it more for personal stuff, organizing, summarizing, personal notes, connecting it with obsidian, all that kind of stuff.
It doesn't know you it just knows of you
llm models don’t by default. they only process what’s in their active context and training weights, but i think openai have some kind of built-in memory database for personalization.
you can apparently clear it from the app, but i don’t trust it actually deletes from the backend. i think it just gets cleared from your app.
Ya that's a fact bro. I'm surprised you not running olama with some snazzing hardware.
