Made my first in life #lightning purchase for some ice cream this weekend. Roughly 2500 sats for the privilege. Something isn't right with that setup. Those fees would kill adoption before it's even started.
I was tempted to just use cash but wanted to actually do it once in real life.
On the plus side it was very quick and the staff member who doesn't usually do it figured it out very quick. Which was good because it was a hot day with lots of people queuing

It looks like they use Swiss Pay. I used Muun
It's probably Muun's "fault".

Oh, and if you can, get cashapp. It doesn't care about ⚡ sats vs BTC sats, just different incoming addresses of course. And you can insta-selll small amounts into USD... 🤔
I have Muun on my phone but i don't use it.
Because i have no idea how it works, what it does, what it is, how the fees work.

At a certain point we figured out Muun isn't a lightning wallet and its actually an on-chain wallet that does on-chain to ln swaps
Then they just take 0 confirmations as a spend to make it look fast.
I heard that because of increasing on-chain fees and full rbf being a thing, they were going to become a real lightning wallet, but no idea what the progress is on that.
