Labs like Labcorp and Quest have decent apps/portals for reviewing your labs, so it is easy to compare with prior years. Not worth it to put it in a spreadsheet and do the extra work, in my opinion.
Next year I might use Levels and get a CGM to wear for a month. Then I'll go through eating a number of things - in my normal diet as well as different indulgences - and get an idea of the ones that cause the biggest glucose variability.
I like to tweak to keep working on optimization. Of course, my one consistent indulgence is I do drink bourbon or red wine almost every day...not to excess, but my wife and I love to catch up our day with a drink.
