Ugh. I don't hate much in life, but I hate packing for a trip. I don't like to check luggage because I had luggage get lost once, however going to Madiera for 9 days makes it almost impossible to pack light. Current status: stressed.

Whatβs the weather forecast like for it?
Buy clothes over there!
it's going to be roughly 54 degrees to 68 degrees next week with 2 days of a little bit of rain. not the greatest weather. pants and long sleeve shirt weather most days, maybe tshirts on the warmer and sunny days. maybe a couple sweaters too.
I went through Paris:CDG 4 times and they lost my luggage 4 times. They would always find it a day later and deliver it to wherever I was. This was actually quite convenient and I was packing with that expectation...
Only carry-on Derek. Always
i do always carry on, but im not sure if it can all fit. ill find out soon. i forget, when are you getting in?
Used to travel a lot for work. Gather clothes for 9 days then halve it. You will find a way, if needed. (I.e. Buy a t-shirt or two there, wear a few more clothes than needed while travelling, hotel laundry or even handwash. Donβt bother with toiletries - get them on arrival.
toiletries on arrival is a good tip.
this is me
9 days? π one hand luggage bag (40 liter?) is enough, I live that way all year round and can still carry a node, coffee maker, books, and other other nice luxuries for life
I travel from US to Greece every 3 weeks for 8 months out of the year. Never had a lost bag. You'll be aighty π
