博多にも来てね👍

first time i've heard of that place, what's it like there? 🤔

It's Japan's fastest-growing city, with affordable prices, plenty of delicious food to enjoy, and nature and the city close by, making it an easy place to live. The airport is also nearby, so you can get to Tokyo in 90 minutes, and it's close to Asian countries like Korea and China.

oohh, sounds really tempting

curious what the climate, rent and cost of living is like over there

and how english-speaker friendly it is

Since it's on the western side of Japan, the climate is warm by Japanese standards. Winters are cold, but it hardly ever goes below freezing. I think the rent is about half that of Tokyo. The cost of food is also very low, with daily lunch specials at around $5. Working in Japan while getting paid by a foreign company makes things very easy financially.

Japanese people can't speak English at all 🤣🤣🤣

hmm, this all sounds really great so far

this is the plan kind of

not even sure what the rent is in tokyo tbh

This article is mostly accurate. It's true that with a nomadic lifestyle, avoiding rising rent is impossible. Even for Japanese people, the rental contract procedures are a hassle.

I'll look into a few other things as well.

thank you so-so much for the intel already, feel free to dm me also, going to bed rn

The summers are brutal, but then so it is in the rest of japan too pretty much

how brutal is brutal?

I've been told by friends in the USA that I basically live in florida. It's very humid.

oh jesus, i guess my plan would be to work there remotely for 2-3 months, during the winter, as it gets super dark and freezing cold here

Nooo you would miss the cherry blossoms 🥺

Avoid July through September and you're good👌

🥺 when are the cherry blossoms

3 weeks somewhere in Mid march to late April, depending on the year

hmm, i might consider it you know

*whispers* join us.....

soon 😌

i'll make sure to visit as many nostriches as possible, would be much more fun than just staying at a hotel or airbnb

you can show me around and also i would love to learn ceramics too, as i've never tried it

U have yourself a tour guide 🤝

Not as bad as Taiwan tho. And everyone has AC here, so it's not like the heatwaves in UK.

oh, we don't have ACs really here either
