Yes, and i believe the quality of your beef matters. A couple weeks ago we had steaks at a restaurant that has a great reputation, but to us it was a disappointment, especially because of how expensive it was. We can do much better at home.
My plan is to learn using only the grass finished beef we raise ourselves. Only way I can ensure consistency.
And more importantly, that is going to be my source for beef for the rest of my life.
Thats awesome, let us know how you progress with that. We dont raise our own beef, but we buy from a local rancher who is part of The Beef Initiative. We bought a half cow last summer, the best beef we've eaten.
