But what you want is the LNURL or Lightning Address that will look like this:

That’s what you can put into your profile to receive an unlimited amount of zaps.

OK – so putting that address in NIP-05 won’t do anything. It’s a totally different function. That’s what gives you a purple checkmark. You need to get that from somewhere else, and even make your own if you own and host a domain name.

#[6] runs https://nostrplebs.com – one of the more popular identification services. But there are plenty of others.

Essentially the email-looking address is just the human-readable form of the LNURL. It works because it’s running on a webserver. Its function is to instruct the node (yours is the #[2] node) to generate a new invoice for the zap amount. Not all wallets support this feature yet.
