I am, but 99% are not and are not capable to do so due to technical difficulties 🐶🐾🫡

What's the biggest technical hurdle you think?

Setting it all up and maintaining good and balanced channels. 🐶🐾🫡

I stopped rebalancing, dynamic fees are free and keep the flow going. But you'll need a number of channels for that.

How does that work?

You have good channels and balance liquidity, the rest just works! 🐶🐾🫡

How do you define good channel?

That’s a hard part, it’s difficult and different for teach node. 🐶🐾🫡

Same here, but channels are not free. Good ones are even less so! 🐶🐾🫡

I’d love to learn. Just gotta make the time

It’s also expensive af. Custodial wallets are free, your own costs many times more than people think it will🐶🐾🫡

This is also a barrier for me tbh. Hoping to get one set up in the future but not doable yet lol

Not doable due to costs? Hardware costs, network fees, or something else?

Hardware. I can manage fees and learn to do channels etc.

Just not in my budget capacity, as much as I’d love it to be.

How much do you think the hardware costs?

Depends on what you get. Pi4 will do for a simple wallet 🐶🐾🫡

I’ll check it out, thank you Fish 💜

Open channel, pay. Get incoming liquidity, pay. Rebalance, pay. Force close, pay. Hardware, pay. Etc… 🐶🐾🫡

Exactly. Lots of work to balance I’m sure lol

I’ve lost about 400K sats on my node just in pure channels and learnings. I am not even counting network, hardware, time and electricity 🐶🐾🫡

I have no idea, but it's been 4 years already, so probably also a lot. Force closes are a pain indeed, especially the last few months.

I had one, and it costed me 40K in total fees! 🐶🐾🤣😭
