Sounds like hell, but...

I think Americans are so far removed from a country with a homogeneous population with similar values, that we can't imagine being in that situation and having a government that's legitimately working in the best interest of their citizens and no one else. It would be a completely different situation, and maybe we'd get more outcomes like this.
