They conflate bitcoin and crypto when they talk about it.
No true bitcoiner would EVER refer to it as crypto.😑

This is many people I know. Because they read a few stories in the New York Times and listened to Elizabeth Warren. I have never figured out a way to tell them how utterly stupid they sound without coming across as a complete asshole.
Just respond with, "America is basically Canada. I mean, it's all the same, right?!" 🤣🤣🤣
Or go, "Oh..." and look really disappointed and deflated. If they ask, you tell them that you, "Thought they wanted good, but I guess you're one of those people who just wanna see the world burn". And walk away with a hanging head 😔

Seriously though, they generally have no idea the mismatch in knowledge on the subject. Many of us have years of very regular, systematic knowledge accumulation on all subjects directly and tangentially related to Bitcoin. Bitcoin exposes ego and hubris.
