recognizing you have a problem is a good first step.

next time, try to take one deep breath before you react. it can be an angry breath, but it must be a full inhale and exhale. if you can, take two or more breaths. if you react first, don't sweat it. just take a couple breaths anyway.

this serves a few purposes. one, you get oxygen to your brain. two, you calm your nervous system. three, it gives your brain time to process what just happened.

if you want, practice breathing. I know it sounds dumb cuz "ofc I know how to breathe, how do you think I live" but taking the time to really feel your inhale and exhale and observe the changes in your body will help you use it as a tool when you need it to calm down.
