Don’t dismiss humans, some of us are quite nice some of the time.
Also try getting your dog to make you a nice cup of tea after you’ve finished lunch.

that sounds lovely. I would love a nice cup of tea, and that's just one reason humans are worth the extra effort...
It's just the presence of a dog can make me lazy. it fulfills just enough of the time/friendship that it keeps me from taking the risk of engaging with more humans. I have to consciously reprioritize humans.
That is the way
i probably would spend a lot less time on nostr if i had a kitty in my lap as i work
i just don't think i want to leave another cat behind at this point
i would like a cat just to keep the dog company. they don't work well for my early to bed habit because they like to play at night.
when i shared a house with someone with cats, I would wake up and the kitten would be on my chest looking like she was plotting something nefarious. I could never tell if she looked at me like i was protecting her or if I was in her space.
yeah, cats out of the bedroom at night and two doors separated if they have got used to knocking (scratching) on the door, after 2 weeks with cat sleep cycle you are like a parent with newborn child for no reason, they have a 4 hour sleep cycle like infants
