there has been a lot of complaining about inscriptions without concrete proposals on how to stop them at the protocol level

anything that involves a centralized entity choosing which transactions are valid is off the table - that entity will be corrupted threatening censorship resistance

False. The economic gains and ability to form consensus keep us from stoping it. Its not worth it,so we must accept it.

No, there's just no technical way to stop it. We could soft fork in a ban if their schema but they could easily just slightly tweak it to get around. Getting rid of arbitrary data storsge on bitcoin is impossible, the only way to fix it is fees which they clearly don't seem to care about

I appreciate your time & knowledge on the subject. What if a majority to nodes started running a preblock wars bitcoincore? This is where extra data was simply ignored as it isn’t supported?
