Is there a way to figure out who is sending sats? I looked in my alby wallet, but all I see is the amount, but no npub or name. I'd like to send thanks. I use amethyst, and the zaps from these mystery sources dont show up on amethyst. #asknostr

Only if you can match the amount to an npub. Lightning is geared towards privacy so there isn’t any information about the sender required by default.
Ok, thanks Daniel. Thought maybe I could find out. Some of the zaps are pretty large, so I just wanted to thank the sender.
Is there a zaps section in your client notifications?
Yes but they dont appear there. But i can see them in my alby acct. Maybe its an ad bot or something.

You can look on Nostr.band for your zaps received for an easier to read view. Go to the link below and then scroll down to where you see zaps received. If they weren’t sent as Nostr zaps, though, then they won’t be shown there.

Thanks for that, the zaps were not listed there, thats odd. Maybe like you said, they werent nostr zaps.
If they were sent anonymously (Damus has an “anonymous zap” feature, for instance) then I’m not sure if they show up in nostr.band. It’s also possible that whoever is sending them is on your mute list, in which case you wouldn’t see the notifications for the zaps.
