I grew up there. I'm very, very aware, especially if you're a southerner.
Iβm more of a westerner than a southerner but I have southern heritage as well as yankee heritage! Dads side southern (Florida/georgia) moms side yankee (New York mostly) but I was raised in the mountain west! π€
Mountain west is pretty. If I wasn't moving north, I'd consider the west.

yikes, i had a similar conversation with a long time friend just this past week. it's crazy because he's one of my goofiest, most careful listener, psychologist by training. And he couldn't fathom how I could vote for anyone but Harris. and he seems to be making a point to make it a friendship ending sort of event.
I'm going to miss his jokes. He's one of the few people who aren't sucked into the mobile phone matrix and still puts his phone away and listens when you're talking. He's also a practical joker, so I can't figure out the disconnect in his logic.

I haven't had anyone break friendships with me, but had I voted for Trump earlier, that might have hastened the divorce...
I just don't vote anymore now as I think it only furthers the evil system. I prefer to build relationships and community over trying to fix a system that is set up to bring death, poverty, and deception.

I remember voting committees comings to houses of people well known for not voting, pushing them to "do the right thing", etc. Simple peer pressure, "friendly" persuasion works for majority.

Shotguns usually take care of those problems. I they don't even have to be used. Just meeting one of those committees at the door with one usually ends the meeting quickly enough and nearly anyone sensible would take the hint.

Yeah USA gun culture does vary somewhat from state to state but overall itβs safe to say theyβll never be forbidden here. Even if there were attempts to forbid them it just wouldnβt work.
