I'm still a little confused about when I'm doing ecash vs LN, when using Mutiny. lots of test zaps incoming

fedimint is default as long as there is enough balance there

Does it know if someone doesn't have fedimint?

not sure what you mean bro, it will use a fedimint on your end to send if you have one setup with some ecssh

in terms of receiving, the ln address requires a fedimint, and zaps to that will only go there. you can swap them after however

with normal invoice receives, under 200k is fedimint otherwise its lightning channel

I was under the impression that a "regular" LN wallet would not know what to do with fedimint ecash. So I mean if I zap ecash to someone and they don't use mutiny are they able to see the zap?

Maybe I'm confusing this with cashu nuts.

if I was using wallet of satoshi for example (lightning custodial) and you zapped me from your fedimint, whats actually happening is you are swapping x amount of ecash from the federation for x amount of sats, and then that is being sent over the lightning network to wallet of satoshi(me)

okay, well TIL! that's very clear thanks!
