It needs permission to access photos and videos.. usually this pops up when you first click upload image. You can check in the app settings and grant it this permission.

Thanks, I tried scouring permissions thr first time it didn't work, but couldn't find the right spot (it wasn't automatic either)

if you go to settings -> apps -> amethyst -> permissions. You should see the photos and videos permission there.

hm, that says permission camera tho, you need "photos and videos"..

Those are the only permissions options I'm given (unless I'm really dense lol)

weird, so when you click on 'permissions' it only shows the option to pick camera?

Yup :( And it seems that's all I can do & all my permissions are on

Here you have to tap on permissions. Then you get another menu, where you can give permission for photos and videos.
