The boomers weren't spectacularly worse, inherently, than other generations, but we were the first television generation -- and, considering the group that owns all the television networks, that definitely hurt. We were also the generation immediately after WW2, and got the strongest possible dose of "the good guys won that war" and "the postwar world democratic order is a good thing" propaganda, and that hurt a lot too.
