for fastest weight loss you eat only lean meat, fish, some liver and eggs, ascorbic acid and optionally fiber.

for somewhat slower weight loss you can leave some more fat in by eating full fat steaks instead of lean chicken breasts, and have more eggs and bacon, and eat oranges instead of taking vitamin C.

if you're an athlete who trains for 2+ hours a day you can have some carbs in your diet in form of things like rice. in this case you would have to go back to lean chicken breasts. you can't mix fatty steak and eggs with carbs like rice. one or the other. and again, carbs like rice should only be used by people who do cardio every day !

if you mix carbs and fats - forget it ! it doesn't matter what else you do - you will fail. period.

Interesting. Thanks for this!

Yes, since moving in 2021, I moved away from the austere diet that I had kept for several years (oddly enough, inspired by the "Black Pill Fitness" blog you used to run), and started eating carbs and fats together. The result is that I'm about 10 lbs heavier than I was at that time. On the other hand, being slightly heavier but enjoying life more might be worth it. But bland food will definitely keep you leaner if that's your goal.

you will enjoy life until one day you have a stroke or need to have your foot amputated.

i mean ... those things probably will happen anyway, but that 10 lbs will bring them a few years closer.

that said if you hate your life and wish for death every day ( not saying you do, but many people do ) then trying to stave off the inevitable may not be worth the effort.

ultimately a personal choice. i just want people to have the best information.

Just curious, didn't you say you also got out of shape since then?

The truth is I will probably get tired of it and lose the weight -- I preferred being leaner in general and I also don't want to have to buy new clothes. I was well on my way last year to doing so, going to dance 3x/week, but then my hip started acting up.

To clarify this is for health, not for the hoes, as some might think. Weight doesn't matter as much to them as you'd think, if you're still interested. I still dated hot girls when I was 50 lbs above what I am now. It does make a difference but it's not decisive. Also, a lot of women now assume if you're in good shape that you're gay.

yeah but i don't think of in terms of being "out of shape" anymore, which is meaningless unless you're a woman or a homosexual

i think of it in terms of putting undue stress on my body due to carrying extra weight

carrying extra weight to me is like not getting enough sleep - it's something you will regret

has nothing to do with shape
