congratulations son - you have discovered the science of getting fat - combining grease with starch

from pizza to donuts to potato chips to every other fattening junk food

didn't i already explain this ?

this is literally the one thing you should never, ever do if you don't want to look like a wine barrel

all successful diets are either low fat, low carb, or avoid fat-carb combos ( paleo diet )

it isn't about low carb vs low fat. it's just about avoiding the combo. you can avoid it by eliminating one or the other or by eliminating the combos. paleo eliminates combos because combos are only found in processed foods which paleo forbids.

a dude on Twitter taught me this - he was right. frankly it was brilliant but it requires intelligence to understand and as we all know only i have intelligence so his theory ultimately didn't benefit anybody except me.

when you mix carbs and fat it's game over son.

for fastest weight loss you eat only lean meat, fish, some liver and eggs, ascorbic acid and optionally fiber.

for somewhat slower weight loss you can leave some more fat in by eating full fat steaks instead of lean chicken breasts, and have more eggs and bacon, and eat oranges instead of taking vitamin C.

if you're an athlete who trains for 2+ hours a day you can have some carbs in your diet in form of things like rice. in this case you would have to go back to lean chicken breasts. you can't mix fatty steak and eggs with carbs like rice. one or the other. and again, carbs like rice should only be used by people who do cardio every day !

if you mix carbs and fats - forget it ! it doesn't matter what else you do - you will fail. period.

Interesting. Thanks for this!

Yes, since moving in 2021, I moved away from the austere diet that I had kept for several years (oddly enough, inspired by the "Black Pill Fitness" blog you used to run), and started eating carbs and fats together. The result is that I'm about 10 lbs heavier than I was at that time. On the other hand, being slightly heavier but enjoying life more might be worth it. But bland food will definitely keep you leaner if that's your goal.

you will enjoy life until one day you have a stroke or need to have your foot amputated.

i mean ... those things probably will happen anyway, but that 10 lbs will bring them a few years closer.

that said if you hate your life and wish for death every day ( not saying you do, but many people do ) then trying to stave off the inevitable may not be worth the effort.

ultimately a personal choice. i just want people to have the best information.

Just curious, didn't you say you also got out of shape since then?

The truth is I will probably get tired of it and lose the weight -- I preferred being leaner in general and I also don't want to have to buy new clothes. I was well on my way last year to doing so, going to dance 3x/week, but then my hip started acting up.

To clarify this is for health, not for the hoes, as some might think. Weight doesn't matter as much to them as you'd think, if you're still interested. I still dated hot girls when I was 50 lbs above what I am now. It does make a difference but it's not decisive. Also, a lot of women now assume if you're in good shape that you're gay.

yeah but i don't think of in terms of being "out of shape" anymore, which is meaningless unless you're a woman or a homosexual

i think of it in terms of putting undue stress on my body due to carrying extra weight

carrying extra weight to me is like not getting enough sleep - it's something you will regret

has nothing to do with shape

Is a gravyless life worth living though?

#teamgravy

you need to find some other source of pleasure in life.

in my case it's jerking off to porn 24/7

It's about healthy fats & healthy carbs; not their ratios.

Real gravy has like 3 ingredients; store-bought gravy has a lot more, none of which are the original 3.

when it comes to carbs quantity is more important than quality.

if you disagree you can go fuck yourself.

Gravy needs less than 8g of carbs per chicken, and it doesn't need to be refined corn starch.

Eat a spoon of raw honey & go touch some grass, you won't get as worked up about a thing like homemade gravy 😉

the carbs in raw honey and corn syrup are exactly the same you dumb fuck

The stuff in honey that's removed from corn syrup is **necessary** to metabolize glucose you fucking retard

you may be the stupidest person on NOSTR.

glucose is used directly by every cell in your body - it doesn't need to be metabolized at all.

try learning some biology next time instead of getting your information from youtube videos.

Carbs need to be metabolized into glucose.

Give me a break, you're trying to convince me humanity's first laws about cattle & grain were half-wrong! It really is funny

you know as worthless as garbage like you is i am glad that NOSTR has no means of removing you from the network.

because when such means exist they are NEVER used against trash like you, and ALWAYS used against people who actually have something of value to say.

the main source of glucose in the blood is your liver.

if we needed something in honey to metabolize glucose we would all be dead.

the liver is also the main source of cholesterol in the blood as well.

in fact in a healthy person the diet has no real effect on blood levels of either of those molecules.

luckily for diet gurus the average idiot like you doesn't know anything about biology and will believe any nonsense you are told.

please refrain from discussing these issues with people who actually know what they're talking about because you're embarrassing yourself.

You can be religious about that simple view if you want to. But typical gravy is 1 part grease, 1 part starch, and 24 parts liquid (stock, jus or milk). That's not a lot of grease and starch, but just enough to thicken the flavor carrying agents. Also, gravy is not a main course.

clearly i am not religious about it since my staple food is chocolate which is a mix of sugar and fat.

and you almost certainly aren't consuming as much gravy as i am consuming chocolate.

the difference is you specifically mentioned mixing carbs and fat as the reason why something is appetizing, so i had to point out that you are in fact correct but appetizing can also be a bad thing.

there are other appetizing formulas like mixing sugar with acid that similarly lead to obesity from over-consumption.

that's the problem - that the better you get at cooking the worse you become at dieting.

ultimately diet food is unpalatable. think meat without any sauce. only salt.

and drinking only water.

as soon as you start adding spices, sauces, fruit juices and so on ... you're on a slippery slope.

food must be bland.

if you refuse to make bland food and want to cook food that normal human beings would actually enjoy eating then you must count calories.

if you count calories you can eat gravy and pizza no problem.
