Larry Fink is on TV talking about a "flight to quality"... this makes no sense to me.

Regardless of that, if the "cRyPtO EcOnoMy" sucks up a ton of luquidity and then crashes again it will take inflation pressure out of the dollar economy.

The same thing happens with stock market boom and bust cycles. When cash becomes scarce inflation declines.

I don't have a background in this, but looking at the system from the outside it would seem that another crypto bull market could benefit the existing system temporarily.

It seems that BTC might actually be promoted as a means of defense against it. In this scenario the price would increase incredibly fast and most people would be left with no bitcoin.

Those who accumulated early will become extremely wealthy and then demonized. The general public will be convinced that they are too late to benefit and thus need to accept a CBDC.

Perhaps a doomer view, but potentially a smart move by the banking system.
