In case anyone was wonder the #nostr lore about #shoeonhead, it was a serendipitous moment that came about around a week ago when nostr:npub1jk9h2jsa8hjmtm9qlcca942473gnyhuynz5rmgve0dlu6hpeazxqc3lqz7 questioned nostr:npub14a234n82fqsqp0wvkd9a83fp2k8p7dfhww3u4mvr59rey8pkn6sswh0dfz 's persona. The issue had always been around even in #nostr 's early days with Cassie etc etc
NIP 05 had always been a technical way to kinda prove a person's identity, but scammers could still just create a random npub, register on a domain, and get that check mark. But were these "females" really who they said were?
Then nostr:npub1ymt2j3n8tesrlr0yhaheem6yyqmmwrr7actslurw6annls6vnrcslapxnz post a pic of herself and in jest, nostr:npub1mpz30qp2gdr403t2apjzhla56fh94hs8zgznw5pp26q0tztw27dsu60pxm questions whether she was, in fact, female:

Quite honestly, anyone could just have posted a picture with timestamp to verify they were saying who they were but where's the fun in that?
I wait for nostr:npub18ams6ewn5aj2n3wt2qawzglx9mr4nzksxhvrdc4gzrecw7n5tvjqctp424 to quote newbies' introductions and aggressively push verifying their identify by posting a shoe on their head (if for nothing more than sh!ts and giggles). #Plebs naively comply and the rest they say is history
