It's wild to me how accepted it is that people wear wireless headphones during work.

Large open offices and lots of different simultaneous conference calls make them a near necessity imo
He’s right. I use mine to drown out the noise as I work in a open work area (very low cubicles) hallways adjacent to my station. Loud People passing by not giving a fuck lol
My wife used to work in a cubicle and to add to the noise she had to put up a mirror on her monitor to be mindful of lurkers lurking. It was a smart move. Little vanity mirror magnet
Yes, that is another problem. I had to move for that exact reason. Dude behind was all in my s*** It was very annoying dude was always asking what I was buying whenever he noticed I wasnt doing something other than work 😒 He is very well aware I moved because of him 😆🤣 nosy ass
Sorry, I would rather not be there
curious, why you dislike it?
Idk call me old school. If your not taking calls/in a meeting I don't see the need for them.
Just me being an old man yelling at someone on my lawn
it makes sense. I'd say for me, it has been useful to fade out office noise especially in an open plan office. However, I also acknowledge that it can also be detrimental to team collaboration if not handled properly and without communication. Eg, if someone using headphone, ir deters other to approach them thinking they are on call. But this can be avoided if the teams agree on what the headphone means for everyone in the team. It varies from team to team. ☺️
Very fair points
