Even if I wanted to hold Monero to protect generational wealth, it would be nearly impossible to buy that much Monero. And my trust in it's ability to secure that wealth decades into the future is not high enough, even if I could capitalize it in.
So no, you can keep your Monero.
It wouldn't be impossible. But similar to BTC in its early days it makes sense to own some if it catches on.
Monero is not an investment. It is a fungible medium of exchange. But I believe it will be the best investment in the next decade dethroning BTC from #1 spot.
Monero is down 94% against bitcoin since 2017. So your theory that it will "dethrone" bitcoin seems to be contradicted by reality.
