The secret sauce is networking, but it is my biggest flaw.
As for challenges I would say the biggest is people don't take you seriously. At least it's the feeling I often get but it could be in my head. It's difficult to take yourself seriously when you do something so... uncommon.
You can't do it without high value products that requires à lot of work.
