I nuked the database for the nostrelites.org relay. I've been running this relay since last fall. It costs me $50 a month to run it. It's now to the point where the server needs to be upgraded and more resources added. That's more money. To save money, I made a backup of the old data and then started with a clean slate. Fixed!

That's expensive. I pay like 22 USD a month for a dedicated server and it's got a lot of ram, hd and cpu. My relay could run for years without nuking it because I charge a fee to use it which keeps bots away and doesn't fill the HD.
You had to nuke it because you allow any hill billy to connect which attracts spammers and bots. You should of just charged a small fee like 21 stats or lower to keep bots from connecting to it.
I wanted to extract my old notes from the relay but you nuked it first before telling us, I don't feel like an elite anymore. I'm going to call customer support and complain.
How many GBs of data?
Only 14GB. Small. But Khatru and Badger were not happy with that size.

2. What is your domain registrar
3. Do you know how to add a CNAME record

not sure yet. I do not want to be free support for 99.9% of dumb relay operators either which takes a lot of time away from actual dev work, I'd rather be funded to host and manage a public relay instead
Currently trying to balance multiple projects, including Nostr.land, the Noswhere NFDB hosting service, and that other thing that you know.
My answer to anyone that wants anything for free now is if they are willing to pay for my time, to be worth prioritizing above other projects I am working on.
