I am proposing to teach #Bitcoin ideas at a *very* basic level and working on a simplified explanation of the Byzantine generals problem.

a) five generals need a majority decision to attack/retreat.

b) to convey a vote they must create a gold engraved wonderful thing to indicate their decision. It would take ages to create this wonderful thing.

c) if a general sees 3 wonderful things that agree on attack/retreat they can be sure that is the consensus because of the time required to craft those answers.

Is that valid / good enough?
