yeah, its been a really hard decision that i've been thinking about over the past year.
the problem is that nobody reads anymore, so it came down to protecting my own comfort vs giving the stories we write about a larger platform (and having them be actually understood, as a lot of people will just read the headline and immediately start reeeing about it w/o actually reading the article). I think the latter is more important unfortunately.
Why not do something like Rockstar dev does, where you’re on video but as a silhouette? That’s my plan next I think.
I thought about that too, but as a person who has auditory processing issues myself seeing someone speak actually helps me understand what is being said (plus i think it helps in keeping people's attention)
Yeah Lola pls don’t dox completely yet, your anonymity has been so useful in the past infiltrating and reporting! There are so many filters for both face and voice that can render you unrecognisable on video
