Yep we'll keep pushing updates there as we make progress!

Our goal is to be the Nostr client for readers, and we want to enable not just reading books, but interacting with the material, sharing quotes and passages, and discussing with other readers.

We're simultaneously building the app and publishing public-domain works as collections of Nostr events. We've also started publishing books by other Nostriches (with permission).

Kept it up, man! It's looking great! I have some title suggestions, if you'd like to hear them.

Totally! Title suggestions are welcome!

The entire A Song of Ice and Fire series (lol if it ever gets finished), Martian Time-Slip by Philip K. Dick, The Next 100 years by George Friedman, The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin, A Brief History of Central Banking by Dominic Haynes, and Frames of Mind: The Theory of Multiple Intelligences by Howard Gatdner.

And I guess two bitcoin books to help get the maxis on board, maybe. The Bitcoin-Dollar by Mark Goodwin and The Bitcoin Standard by Saifedean Ammous.

We can only publish books that are out of copyright, or where the author has explicitly granted permission.

Ah makes sense

Right, right! I forgot you mentioned that in a previous post. My bad.

Lol well, still that list is worth a read.

Hopefully Nostr will become a publishing platform for copyrighted books someday! Zaps could make revenue sharing easier between authors and publishers, or it could be used for self-publishing.

Using zaps would be an awesome marketing move for both parties! Not sure how I would onboard them, though🤔. Those with max-normie mentality are difficult to sway.

That's why we're starting by building a client that needs Nostr to be what it is, but doesn't need to advertise itself by being Nostr. Introduce the new concept, let people adopt it, and we'll see what happens.

Also... Dracula by Bram Stoker

That’s a good one!

😎🎸and a great classic!
