It’s the lack of algorithms that doesn’t push it.
Compare interactions on notes of pro vs anti Trump. Also influencers stay away from the topic, or are gently pro Trump.

The algorithms are used primarily to increase engagement and controversy always gets people to comment and give their opinion.
I don’t know last cycle the shitcoinery and shilling of NFTs and and meme coins was pretty fucking awful.
I always just go back to the fact that bitcoin is open and permissionless so anyone can use it, it’s usually just the wankers and bad takes that are the loudest and get the most attention because everyone feeds off controversy.
I imagine those places are jam packed with scrubs but I also cannot imagine typing a 500 word essay about how awful everyone is when you sub to those communities😭
Momo behavior
I have been disheartened by seeing "liberty-minded people" accept paradigms that are counter to their ideals in several instances of my past.
My medicine has been to remind myself that we're all learning different facets at different levels. Also, to be thankful that these people are at least wanting liberty, even if they're still somewhat confused on the subject.
The best I can do them is to be the example myself, and be able to provide information when it is requested. That opens the door to re-iterating what freedom and liberty are, and where their idols contradict those concepts.
Ya, that is all we can do. Sigh.
Those people were not cypherpunks libertarians or anarchists in the first place in my humble opinion. Because rise people know "crypto" has always been headed exactly here.
Some of these are people who I have know for many years and they were some of the loudest most dedicated "anarchist" that I had ever met... and now they are worshiping a politician. It's been sad.
