The overlap is so great it is hard to not make it sound like splitting hairs. Very subtle differences.

Eh people say the same thing about Roman Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy but that opinion largely comes from a place of ignorance

Probably. I don't know the difference between those two churches either. I was raised roman catholic. Very devout. Left the church after my pastor and biship raped my sunday school classmates. Then just got transfered without prosecution.

Overall I lost my faith even more when I dived deep into the corruption and hijacking of the church by evil.

Now I am a stoic with a foundation of christian morals and ethics which have become a part of my core virtues and personality.

Valid! I would also say that a lot of Saint Paul’s positions in the New Testament align with stoicism too tbh!

There is actually a lot of evidence out there to support that Christianity was created on a foundation of stoicism.

Certainly partial foundation I totally agree! Even in the book of acts it mentions stoics and epicureans being involved in discussions surrounding the early formations of the Christian church as such when it was a more clearly separated thing from Judaism

(Or more accurately at the very start of when it was clearly becoming a different thing from Judaism)
